We painted the house . . . I mean had the house painted. Looks nice:

Lastly, we have started up the old 1342 renovation project. If you read the last, very disappointing post, the general contractors that bid the project pegged it at just over 300k to renovate. Ummm, I don't think so.
So after a bit of redesign, including taking off a lot of what would have been added, I have realized that the price is still pretty high, even putting in a great deal of sweat equity. But this time it is actually doable. I'll post the new plans soon, once I hear back from the financing folks at Wells Fargo. They have a great program for new construction and renovation. Maybe we'll get this thing going after all.
